Do I need to be an experienced rider?

Absolutely not! Difficulty is scaled to the group ability level. We can work with all skill abilities and we know the trails that will be most suitable for riders at different levels. For those looking to progress, just let us know and we’ll give you a trip focused on skills and challenging routes, or if you’re just looking to explore Alaska, we’re happy to keep the day mellow and enjoy the fresh air. Check out our skill rating page.

What types of bikes we use for our trips?

We have 2020/21 Specialized Stumpjumper and Salsa Spearfish full suspension mountain bikes. We have access to multiple sizes to accommodate all rider heights.

How do I know what size bike frame I ride?

When you sign up for our guided trip, you will be asked your height, weight, skill ability, and what size frame you ride. Upon receiving that information we will select the right bike frame size for you and have the suspension already tuned for you before we ride the trails.

Can I ride the rental with clipless set up?

Yes! You will need to bring your pedals and shoes and we can put the pedals on.

What about snacks?

We have treats during the ride because no one likes to bonk. Feel free to bring any snacks you prefer. You will also be given a souvenir AKBA water bottle filled up with water for the ride.

Will I see wildlife?

Most likely! Anchorage is populated by moose, bears, bald eagles, ravens, and other wildlife.
