WHAT TO EXPECT

There is something for everyone at Kincaid or the Hillside trails. The average ride would be around 6-12 miles with about 700ft of elevation gain. There will be lots of breaks for snacks and water during your ride. Don’t forget your camera! Kincaid and Hillside is populated by many moose and the chance of seeing one is quite good! You could even see a bear!  From a safe distance of course.

Kincaid is a great way to get your feet wet in our Anchorage singletrack trails. Lot of cross country style trails.

Hillside trails are more advanced, with longer and more difficult one-way down trails. If you like to climb to ride down, these are the trails for you!

WEATHER

Though we can not predict the weather, we can be prepared. Even on the sunniest of days weather can come in quick. Bring your rain jacket and a pair of gloves to keep you warm during the ride. An extra light warm layer is also highly recommended. It may be summer in Alaska, but temps can tend to be a bit colder then you might experience in the lower 48 during these months.

Transportation provided!

If you need transportation, we can meet you at the New Sagaya City Market Parking Lot, 15 minutes prior to the start of the trip. If you have your own vehicle, meet us at the trailhead and our AKBA guide will bring the bike to you at the park. If you have questions about transportation, feel free to call us at (907) 903-9596 or email us at info@alaskabikeadventures.com.
